Bombardier Transportation (Signal) with its partner JSC “ELTEZA” participated in the Fourth International Rail Salon Expo 1520 held in Shcherbinka, Moscow region, on 11-14 September 2013.

At the shared booth the experts of Bombardier Transportation (Signal) and JSC ELTEZA exhibited their sleeper integrated point machine EBI Switch 2000. The point machine is highly reliable, suits for high speed lines, and can be used in extreme weather environments. The modular structure enables a fast unit replacement if needed, without removing from the sleeper, and the releasing device prevents the point machine from damage in case of breakage.

The design of EBI Switch 2000 enables machine based maintenance such as ballast tamping, or filling of ballast without manual work through the complete turnout. Besides, it allows ballast tamping of adjoining sleeper boxes. The point machine is easy to install and requires minimum maintenance service.

Bombardier Transportation (Signal) also showed its latest generation, high-end EBI Lock 950 computer-based interlocking (CBI) system with new R4 central processors – EBI Lock 950 R4 ruggedized and EBI Lock 950 R4 (VPU-N). The new generation of central processors EBI Lock 950 R4 is high-end, highly reliable and has a reduced power consumption. EBI Lock 950 R4 ruggedized is designed to be used in extreme weather conditions. It has a waterproof case, and can be placed in facilities of any type as well as in wayside environments. One processor is able to control up to 1000 logic objects and does not require an external cooling system or ventilation. EBI Lock 950 R4 (VPU-N) is a high-end processor and is able to control up to 2000 logic objects. It does not require an external cooling system or ventilation too. The processor has a modular structure and guarantees high maintainability. Besides its direct functions, EBI Lock 950 R4 (VPU-N) can serve as an interlocking system.

Bombardier Transportation (Signal) demonstrated its RBTC system presented by a driver simulator EBI Cab 2000. The system is designed to increase traffic capacity, and reduce maintenance costs, power consumption as well as deterioration of track and rolling stock. The system ensures constant communication with trains on the line and the interlocking center providing data transmitting about admissible traffic conditions, current location and automatic train control in accordance with the current train situation. Compared to the regular RBTC systems, EBI Cab 2000 uses digital route maps downloaded via radio channels, if admissible traffic conditions changed, and uses different telecommunication networks (fiber optic, satellite, different standards of digital cellular networks) for data exchange between stationary objects. The system does not require the installation of train detection systems and axle counters in order to monitor line availability. As the system consists of modern modules, it can be easily upgraded and adapted to different customer requirements.

All products are fully complied with Russian and international standards of quality and security. Based on quality, experience and reputation Bombardier Transportation (Signal) Ltd offers new technologies in effectiveness of which one cannot have doubts about.
