Bombardier Transportation engineering centre opens in Ukraine

Bombardier Transportation is pleased to announce the official opening of a new engineering centre in Kharkov, Ukraine.

Thomas Bimer, President of Bombardier Transportation Sweden AB (RCS division), Konstantin Khromushkin, General Manager of Bombardier Transportation (Signal) and Vitaliy Tokarchuk, General Manager of Bombardier Transportation Ukraine, led a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new engineering centre is conveniently located in Kharkov and will closely cooperate with Bombardier Moscow office, contributing to Bombardier Transportation market share expanding. Ukrainian specialists are supposed to actively participate in projects of Bombardier Transportation (Signal) in “gauge 1520” countries and in on-going projects in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan .

Main functions of the opened centre will be design, installation and maintenance service of signaling systems.

“This is a further important milestone for our company, reflecting the success of our ongoing international cooperation, combining Bombardier’s global technology and Russian engineering traditions. We aim to further implement our innovative solutions and high-tech products in CIS countries and Baltics”, said Konstantin Khromushkin, General Director of “Bombardier Transportation (Signal)”.

Currently the engineering centre consists of Project Design, Object Controller, Interlocking Logic, and MMI (CCS&Lab). The centre has 9 employees and is actively hiring new staff members. All Ukrainian employees are being trained in |Moscow office. Shortly we are expecting to form departments of Research & Development, ITC, and Service.
